Let the province of Cádiz win you over on this day trip from Jerez to Tarifa, Vejer de la Frontera, and the ruins of Baelo Claudia.
Day Trip Details
We'll meet at the designated time at the stop on the Calle Puerto roundabout and head from Jerez de la Frontera to Vejer de la Frontera.
Once there, we'll take a guided walk to see its city walls and Plaza de España, and discover its fascinating Arab and Christian history, the result of its melting pot of cultures.
Our second stop is Bolonia Beach, home to one of the most important archaeological sites in the province of Cádiz: the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Baelo Claudia. At this site dating back to the late 2nd century BC, we'll see the remains of its salted fish factory and garum sauce production, highly prized in ancient times.
We'll continue on to Tarifa, the southernmost town in mainland Europe. Once there, we'll give you 2 hours of free time so you can buy some lunch and admire the outside of landmarks like the Church of San Mateo Apóstol and the legendary Castle of Guzmán el Bueno at your own pace.
From Tarifa, we'll head back to the meeting point in Jerez, arriving 10 hours after pickup.
